Fifty 2012 SPM students with all A+ get National Scholarships
KUALA LUMPUR: Fifty students who scored all A+ were awarded
 the National Scholarships for their outstanding performance in the 2012
 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results.
Government has decided to 
increase the number of recipients from 30 to 50 to cater to the increase
 in number of high achievers and provide financial support to those in 
need. The scholarship was first introduced in 2010 and is now in its 4th year of commencement.
Speaking at the award ceremony 
yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin expressed his
 joy over the excellent results which portrayed the commitment and 
positive attitude towards producing high quality of students.
“I am very proud and wish to 
congratulate the scholarship receipients for your hard work and tenacity
 in getting excellent results in the 2012 SPM results.”
The students were cream of the 
cream and were chosen from all types of schools based on the highest 
performing merit of every subject they excelled in. 
A total of 481 students scored A+ in all subjects in their 2012 SPM results.
