KUALA LUMPUR: Jalan Ampang and Jalan P Ramlee will be closed on
March 23, 27, 28 and 29 for the "Petronas: Motorsports Demo Run" event
and a concert to mark the Grand Prix Formula One (F1) Petronas Malaysia
2014.
Kuala Lumpur traffic police chief ACP Rusli Mohd Noor said the two
events would be held around the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).
He said the roads which would be closed from 4am to 10pm due to the "motorsports demo run" were:
- Jalan Ampang Junction/Jalan Tun Razak to KLCC
- Jalan Sultan Ismail Junction/Jalan Ampang to KLCC
- Jalan P Ramlee Junction/Jalan Pinang closed to Jalan P Ramlee/Jalan Ampang
- Jalan Yap Kwan Seng Junction/Jalan Ampang detour to Jalan Ampang/Jalan Tun Razak
- Jalan Binjai Junction/Jalan Persiaran KLCC closed to KLCC
On Thursday, the left lane of Jalan Ampang in front of KLCC would be
closed in conjunction with the Malaysia Grand Prix dinner.
Other road closure would depend on the traffic situation.
On March 28 and 29, the left lane of Jalan Ampang in front of KLCC would be closed for the "Twin Tower@Live 2014" concert.
Rusli said other road closures would depend on the traffic situation.
He advised road users to use public transportation and to avoid using the affected roads.
Motorists were also urged not to park their vehicles along routes which were involved with the events, he said.
