Flood in Kedah worsens
ALOR STAR: The flood situation in Kedah worsened today, forcing 1,899 people from three districts to seek refuge at relief centres.

Bandar Baharu is the worst hit with 1,528 people from 373 families
taking refuge at nine relief centres, following by Baling with 344
people from 86 families.
Also affected was Kota Star which saw 27 people from seven families evacuated.
A spokeperson with the state flood operation centre said as of 4pm today, all the victims were being housed at 18 relief centres in the state.
"We believe the number of flood victims will rise following non-stop rainfall since yesterday morning.
"Most of the evacuees were resided near the sea," he said when contacted today.
