Former Malacca Chief Minister Abu Zahar passes away
JASIN: Datuk Abu Zahar Isnin,
74, who was Malacca Chief Minister from 1997 to 1999, passed away at
home in Merlimau at 6pm, on Friday, due to kidney complications.
Merlimau state assemblyman Roslan Ahmad who is related to Abu Zahar
said he was admitted to a hospital about a month ago due to diabetic
complications.
"He returned home three days ago and passed away in the presence of his family members this afternoon," he told Bernama.
Roslan said he was diagnosed with diabetes about 10 years ago.
"Abu Zahar served as the Malacca Chief Minister for two years and
made tremendous contributions to the state. He was my mentor," he said. -
