Medium of Knowledge

CSyahya Victory is a medium of knowledge and the center of information in school.The individual,teachers and public were allow to share and  comments on school programs and activities for the benefits of students. We welcome your constructive idea to develop students mind set to change the school culture for conducive learning. We want our school SMK Sinar Bintang established as a magnet school to attract students to study. Due to that,we will improve our school performance continuously in all areas. SMK Sinar Bintang better known STAR School is situated in Taman Sinar Bintang housing area ,Segambut Kuala Lumpur. The public may not familiar with this school and difficult to find the place.There are several schools  around this area.We have Sekolah Menengah Agama Kuala Lumpur (SMKAL), SMK Menjalara Kepong,SMK Desa Mahkota Park City, SMK Taman Bukit Maluri, SMK  Kepong Baru, SMK Segambut Jaya and SMK Segambut. There are 23 Secondary schools and  60 Primary schools  in  Zone Sentul.

Early History 

According to record SMK Sinar Bintang was early operated in 2001(picture below).This school was hand over to Jabatan Pelajaran Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (Education Department) by Jabatan Kerja Raya or Public Works Department when the building was approval for operation. The first Principal Puan Wan Najiah was served from 2001 until 2006. The second  Principal Pn Radhiah ,the third Principal  Puan Yuha, Puan Sumarni and myself since 16 Mac 2012 until now. I am the fifth Principal and this is my second school after shifted from SMK Dananu Kota. I was there since 2009 until 2012. I was in this school for  almost 2 years and I personally found the school infrastructure was slowly change in all aspects.Majority students are Chinese, few Malays and the rest  Indian.At present we have 1,791 students in the morning and afternoon with 126 teachers including Special Integration Education Program or better known Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi (PPKI) . The school discipline  is under control and currently we do not face any major cases that occurs  in school. I would like to extend my appreciation to all my discipline teachers especially Mrs. Lee KC who are really  taking very serious responsibility to discipline our students.

Academic achievement

The academic achievement is an indicator of  excellence school.SMK Sinar Bintang shows good performance  in SPM and PMR for the past three years ( refer to my article) at "Pencapaian SPM" dan PMR. We  introduced STAR which means School Task Action Result besides SWOT to identify the weaknesses, strength, opportunity and threat among students.We had introduced various program such as debate in Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Inggeris  during school assembly to enhance students performance on  that particular subjects.I believe SMK Sinar Bintang @STAR  can be a magnet school because lots of  achievers originally distributed  from this school.We also have talented students in Badminton and co-curriculum activities who represented the Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur at Badminton tournament in Kelantan and Perlis.The most valuable thing to the teachers is happiness when their students are successful in their life.That's all we need from you our beloved boys and girls.We ask Allah The Almighty to grant us and protect our students from useless and lazy mind.
