victory: Established WARIS Widely

WARIS (HEIRS) is an acronym for Warga Alumni Republik Indonesia Sumatra or Residents of Alumni Republic Indonesia in Sumatra was established as a Non Government Organization (NGO) when the Registrar of Society @ ROS was officially approved its establishment last month.This NGO was purposely formed by the former students who graduated from various Higher Learning Institutions in Indonesia specifically in the Province of Sumatra for more than three decades ago. After it was separated for too long,ALLAH SWT Grant us to meet each other in Kota Bharu.Last week on the 1st August 2014 WARIS was successfully assembled their alumni from various places in the country such as Kedah, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca and Kelantan at the Dewan Suara Muda for the whole day. The original idea was formerly introduced by Dr.Suhaimi Kadir the Principal Assistant Director,State Education Technology Department of Perak (BTPN Perak) via his whatsApp.According to Suhaimi the idea came when he was at Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Mosque after completed his prayer few month ago.Technology today become part of life.It is not a luxury but really necessity to all people around the world. Please do not abuse technology for personal interest by doing malpractice and illicit material.

The meaningful logo was totally designed and patterned by our member, Hj Wan Ab.Razak Wan Ishak@SUE who is also the officer at BTPN Pahang.Thank you and we are really appreciating your work in contributing the idea to realize WARIS .

Nostalgic place

Medan is the capital city of North Sumatra where hundreds of Malaysian students were studied in various faculties.Some of them in dentistry,surgeons,pharmacy, forestry and Indonesian Literature at the University Sumatra Utara@USU and other Higher Learning Institutions in North Sumatra in late 70tes and early 80tes.The Malaysian Students Association formerly known Himpunan Mahasiswa Malaysia Sumatra (HMMS) was located at Jalan Mahkamah 27 Medan. HMMS is a nostalgic place to us.Normally after lectures students will assemble at the center to meet each other with joke and cheers.Majority students with motorbike and of course they had special girl friend cewek. Our relationship is too close like sisters and brothers.Mostly students sponsored by the Government agencies such as MARA, Public Department Service (JPA) and Ministry of Education as G to G students.Several students were on their own paid. Medan is a genuine city of social life where the multiple ethnics and tribes competing each others to survive their family and relatives.Today Medan become the famous place for tourism around the globe because North Sumatra is a strategic place to visit, cheaper and practical to all people. North Sumatra is an attracting place for tourism because of its beautiful scenery especially Lake Toba and Brastagi the most fascinating place to visit.

The role of Waris

Waris was officiated by the Honor Datuk AS Khamis, Head Protocol and Customs of Malacca Palace on the 1st August 2014 in Kota Bharu.He was really look excited and captivated with the presence of alumni at the DEWAN SUARA MUDA.The situation become sad and solemn when we met him. I saw some of alumni so tears and calm during the session. Datuk AS Khamis familiar known Pak Khamis among foreign students was very closed to us, friendly and approachable person. He was served as Diplomat at the Malaysian Consulate in Medan for almost 5 years from 1976-1980. Datuk AS Khamis who also Chairman of Malaysian Golf Club want WARIS to be establish as a professional body to strengthen relationship with other NGO's in Indonesia for benefits of the two countries.He also advice alumni not to forget the two meritorious person who are really taking care on your happiness in life, he added. Earlier Dato Dr.Zain Yusof, Chairman of Alumni Re Union welcoming our guest to Kota Bharu to join our gathering and he personally announced Datuk AS Khamis as our Honorable Patron to WARIS.Thanks to Allah The Almighty our occasion was running smoothly and hopefully we will meet again in another event.InsyaAllah.
