Indonesian Alumni Association of Higher Learning Education (PAPTI) was hosted its annual dinner at PWTC yesterday evening. As scheduled The Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh was officiated the ceremony. Majority alumni from Klang Valley were attended the events at Dewan Dato' Onn to participate the 40 years PAPTI anniversary. More than 500 participants were joined the event peacefully. PAPTI was founded by the late Dato' Mohammad Rahmat Minister of Information since four decade ago to assemble its alumni from several places and province in Indonesia. He was the first President PAPTI. Dato' Mohammad who also graduated from higher education in Indonesia was the longest President PAPTI. The main focus of this organization is to help the government to strengthen relationship between the two countries Malaysia and Indonesia. PAPTI on its capacity as a non government organization ( NGO) will initiate the program especially on educational, cultural and arts to enhance the good relationship among countries. I was in PAPTI committees during Dr Shamsul Bahar Tan Sri Kadir's time. The Present PAPTI President is Sdra Lokman and we all proud to have this assembly to meet colleges and friends which have long been separated.
Cognate country
The Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Idris was mentioned in his speech Indonesia and Malaysia is a cognate country which consist of the same culture , same languages and same ethnology must be tighten peacefully to strengthen and maintain relationship. He added, The Ministry will recognize more Public Higher Learning in Indonesia through Asian Qualification Frame Work (AQFW) for the benefits of young generation in future. Indonesia well known with high creativity especially in aerospace is an epitome of successful country with high technology achievements. Indonesian aerospace was established in designing aircraft since 1976 is a good platform for us to adapt with the technology aerospace in Malaysia. Indonesia is the forth country in the world with population density about 250 million , consolidated their country through Bhineka Tunggal IKa as a symbol of the unity of the nation.
