Director Speaks on Professional Meeting

Education Director For The Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur, Dato' Haji Khairil Awang in his speech on professional meeting urge Principals and Head Teachers to be a prime movers in encouraging the subordinate working together with spirit de corps to achieve the education transformation program. The main objective of education is to develop human capacity building and enhancing their awareness to fulfill and nurturing the nation needs in this millennium. He also stress the important of leadership in school should be relevant at all times especially leadership for learning (instructional leadership) to ensure teaching and learning process will run smoothly.

The role of Principals

According to Dato' khairil, principals is a prime movers in school should play a vital roles to manage and lead teachers with high expectation to do the excellent job. Principal must be able to make an improvement and transform the school culture into a conducive atmosphere for learning and teaching process . Principals and Head Teachers must maintain a positive attitude and good image to build up the school delivery system to the people . We have to think beyond excellent and explore the frontier of knowledge to enrich our organization with a various strategy for the benefits of students and social communities. We must deliver what we had promise . We must have a good framework with an accurate strategic planning to achieve our aims. Strategy is all about setting direction not just for the organization but also in the hearts and minds of employees and customers. Strategy management learning is to prepare managers and trainers. He also add, the Principals and Head Teachers should not make an arguing with the government transformation plan in education. The Ministry of Education set up all policies to help schools achieving the academic performance , co curriculum and students mind set . As an implementer at a school level, we must be able to explain all the ministry issues to the public clearly . After taken a short break, Tn haji Jamaluddin Yusof , the Deputy Education Director from Putra Jaya presenting paper on about Transformation System and how to overcome the problems in school. The event comes in the end at 1.15pm .
